1) How long has TOSHA been in business?

TOSHA has been in business delivering training for the Energy industry since 1989, and formed a Private Company in 1992 to comply with NZQA requirements.

TOSHA are a group of qualified, passionate service providers who have come from industry, have extensive industry knowledge, speak the language, are true professionals, and want to give back to industry what industry has given them.

TOSHA people all operate with the same vision, practice the same values, and strive to deliver high quality services to industry.

3) What does TOSHA stand for?

The name TOSHA is purely an acronym.  It did originate from the Taranaki Occupational Safety and Health Associates that formed the company to specialise in Safety and Health training.  The demand for all levels of industrial training grew as the market we serviced grew, and an appreciation for client specific training took us to the top of the training service sector.  We not only train, but audit and consult across the nation.

8) Why is the TOSHA head office in New Plymouth?

Because all training materials are despatched from NP, overheads are minimal compared to larger cities, and this allows us to deliver a high quality product, yet remain competitive. We have recently opened an office in Auckland and have provided accommodation there also to reduce such overhead expenditure for our clients.  It is our intention to do the same in other main city centres.

9) Is TOSHA an accredited and registered NZQA Private Training Establishment (PTE)?

Yes. TOSHA has the largest industry based accreditations of any NZ PTE strictly because of the wide spread of provider knowledge base, and the large cross section of industry we deliver for. To view our accreditations click here.

10) Can training subsidies be applied to TOSHA training?

Yes, so long as the client has training agreements signed with their ITO for their candidates attending the training. We are accredited with 21 Industry Training Organisations (ITOs)  and the training subsidies vary from ITO to ITO.

11) Does TOSHA offer any kind of guarantee?

Yes. TOSHA offers a 100% money-back guarantee for any service provided if the client is dissatisfied, OR we have not added value to the client business unit.

12) Can the clients choose their trainers?

Yes, the clients can choose their own trainers. If a client requests a specific trainer:

a) that is not registered with TOSHA

b) Who meets TOSHA's and NZQA'a training delivery criteria

The trainer can deliver following a formal registration process.
